Kevin Wiant
President and Founder
Kevin Wiant has extensive experience with guiding companies thru periods of rapid growth and transition. As a senior executive in the telecommunications and software industries, he has had numerous high impact roles in management, sales, business development, marketing and strategic planning.
Most recently, Kevin had been with Airwide Solutions, a leading provider of mobile messaging and internet infrastructure and applications. At Airwide Kevin ran the business development and strategic planning activities. In this role he was responsible for defining new market and product directions as well as developing the partnership relationships necessary to exploit these opportunities.
Before Airwide, Kevin had been with Comverse, the market leader in enhanced services solutions for communications service providers worldwide. Joining Boston Technology in 1991, Kevin had several key roles growing the company from $25M to $250M, including executing the strategic wireless and international sales and marketing programs. The successful growth of Boston Technology culminated in the acquisition by Comverse in 1998.
With Comverse, Kevin Wiant was responsible for developing and implementing programs affecting the company’s long-term marketing, product planning and business development initiatives.
Previous to Boston Technology and Comverse, Kevin directed the growth of serveral high technology companies in the telecommunication, software systems integration, data communications and semiconductor industries. These companies included Technology Concepts / Verizon, Telelogic, Wolfdata, General Instrument and Mostek / United Technologies.
During his career, Kevin has spoken at numerous conferences on the topics of Enhanced Services, Intelligent Networks, VoIP, Mobile and Voice Activated Services. These venues have been in North America, Europe, India and China.
Kevin is an active member of the technology business community, including the Massachusetts Network Communications Council, TiE Boston, MIT Enterprise Forum and CTIA's Wireless Internet Caucus. Kevin is also President of the New England Technology Foundation, a charity that raises funds from the technology community in order to grant them to small children focused charities.
